November in the Studio: From Artwork to Everyday

November has been a month of bringing new ideas to life in the studio. From fresh floral artwork to a new calendar launch, it's exciting to see my designs move beyond the sketchbook and into everyday products.

A New Floral Design: The Protea

This month, I've been working on a new protea flower illustration and coordinating pattern.

I love the protea's bold shape, interesting details, and sculptural beauty. It's the perfect inspiration for the modern, playful style I enjoy creating.

As I continue exploring stationery design, I'm thinking about how each illustration can work in different ways—from individual stickers and notebooks to repeating patterns and art prints.

It's a fun creative challenge: developing artwork that feels cohesive while allowing each product to have its own personality.

The 2027 Calendar Is Here!

Another exciting studio update: my 2027 art calendar has officially launched!

Creating a calendar is one of my favorite ways to bring artwork into everyday life. Each month offers a fresh opportunity to enjoy color, pattern, and illustration.

The new calendar is now available in my online shop, just in time for holiday gifting or planning the year ahead.

What's Next for the Studio?

Over the next few months, my focus will be on creating new artwork specifically for stationery.

I'm exploring floral illustrations, playful motifs, coordinating patterns, and designs that can translate beautifully across stickers, notebooks, and other paper goods.

My goal is to continue developing a recognizable collection that feels fresh, functional, and distinctly Shabya Reid Art.

Currently Inspiring Me

  • The sculptural shapes and details of protea flowers

  • Modern florals and playful color combinations

  • Beautifully designed notebooks and stickers

  • Turning original illustrations into everyday products

Thank you for following along as these new ideas take shape. I'm looking forward to sharing more artwork, products, and behind-the-scenes moments in the months ahead.

Until next month, may you find beauty in the everyday and inspiration in the little moments.
